Our free website migration service works by having our team move your existing website to Modularity Hosting for you, so you don't have to touch a single file. We copy your pages, media and database, set up your domain and email, and check everything before you switch.

You pay for hosting, not for the move. There is no setup fee, no long-term contract, and no need to be technical. If you can tell us where your site lives today, we can take it from there.

We switch DNS

With your OK, we point your domain to our servers. DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours, so the old host stays up in the meantime.

STEP 6

We verify, then you cancel

We confirm the live site and email are working. Once everything checks out, you can cancel your old host.

We aim for none. We build and test your site on our servers first, and your current site stays live until we switch DNS. We can't control DNS propagation, which is run by internet providers and can take up to 24 to 48 hours. During that window some visitors still reach your old host, so keep it active until the switch is complete.
When DNS changes, internet providers around the world update at their own pace. Most people see the new server within minutes to a few hours, but a full update can take up to 48 hours. You can read more in this plain-English guide to DNS. Both servers show the same site during the switch, so it normally goes unnoticed, and we check email before you cancel anything.
